Clare Lune is a native of a mythical kingdom on Earth who leaves it and comes to the United States to fight crime and help the general weal. She is assisted first by her swain Prince Menou and later by a female assistant, Star. Moon Girl has super strength, a moonstone which makes her "superior to any man," and a telepathically-controlled airplane-like "moon-ship."
